Being a student can be stressful at times. Especially during the pandemic. Not being able to leave your small room and still managing your grades. However, the pandemic is as good as over (touch wood). This means you can go out again! And that’s where these three apps are going to come in very handy.
Where can high school students purchase apps?
High school students should first determine which apps are useful to them before they start getting them. A practical way to know which apps you need is to identify what you specifically need the app for. By doing this, you can now download apps that can help you achieve success in that area.
There are definitely tons of apps for high school students ranging from educational apps, to-do list apps, note-taking apps, budget apps and many more. In fact, most apps can be downloaded from your phone or your desktop.
So, once you find out what app to download and where to install it, just go to google to download. Read the guide below on how to download an app for high school students from Google.
Chegg
Chegg is an online platform for online studying which is excellent for students.. With the app, you can create, study and share your own digital flashcards. How convenient is that? Not only can you make flashcards yourself, but you can also make use of someone else’s flashcards. So if you’re new to the app, there is a big chance someone already was ahead of you. From the courses Medicine to Law and from Earth Science to Chemistry. There are literally flashcards for every single subject. This app will also check your grammar and plagiarism. Besides the app, it also has a website where you can access all of your data and study materials in a heartbeat.
Wise-Drinking
Wise-Drinking is an app, as you should’ve guessed by now, about drinking wisely. As a student, you’re drinking most days in the week. And when you’re in your student period, no student seems to care about the results of drinking a lot of alcohol. All you want to have is fun. Like walking around in a silly costume from e-Carnavalskleding with your friends from the frat house. Or do you call them brothers or sisters?
However, it’s time that students start to drink responsively. That’s where this app came in, it’s an app that helps you become aware of your drinking habits. You can track your drinking consumption during the day/night. It has every single type of drink (wine, beer, spirits or others) so it’s super user friendly. This app is not wanting you to quit drinking, it just wants you to be aware of your drinking volume. It also gives you tips on how to drink responsibly. So, if you download this app, your parents will be extremely proud of you.
Any fitness app
During your student period, it’s important to (try and) stay healthy. With alcohol consumption as mentioned above, eating unhealthy, and not moving around, that’s kind of difficult. That’s why you should download a fitness app to encourage you to stay fit and healthy.
A fun app to download is Zombies, Run! This is a great way to motivate yourself if you need to be chased by something in order to get running. With this app, you can play your own music, but at some points a recorded audio of a zombie apocalypse will start playing, from which you must run otherwise you get infected. It’s great fun! Other apps to download are Nike+, Couch to 5K, 7 Minute Workout or Strava.
These apps will help you fulfill your student period on different courses. Hope it helps!
Quizlet
This is an app that is also available for Android and Iphone, and this app is also free. Quizlet is a program similar to wrts, the Dutch program that is often used to learn words. Personally, I like Quizlet (there is also a site) just a little bit better. You can learn words in many different ways, you can share your lists and what I like best: if you made a typo, but the rest of the answer is correct, you can press a button ‘I mistyped!’ , indicating that you made a typo. If you click on that, the program still calculates the word correctly. The mobile app is slightly less extensive than the website, but definitely recommended!
Color note
This is an app only, available for Android. For Iphone there is an app called ‘Colornotes’, which is slightly different, but has the same concept. The app works very simply: you can make (small) notes, set a timer on them, or even put them in your agenda. You can also make a checklist. There is also an extra option that you can protect the notes with a password. I use this app regularly, and I really enjoy working. It is very clear and everything can be sorted by color, alphabet, date, or size.
Study planner apps
Organization is the key to success, and wellness and study planning apps are growing in popularity. In addition to saving paper, many scheduling apps also send reminders and notifications directly to your phone or laptop.
The best study apps in this category include TimeTable(Android), an app with a sharp and clear interface that makes it easy to organize your timetable. For more familiar apps for students, opt for those with a more traditional spreadsheet-style layout, such as Class Timetable (iOS).
Headspace: meditation and mindfulness
As a high school student, it is very important that you take care of your mental health. In short, the number of activities you engage in high school can cause you to lose focus, get stressed easily, or lose your mind.
To keep you in check, Headspace is a great app for high school students and you should immediately download it by clicking the button below.
This app will give you an excellent time to relax. Meditation has been proven by psychologists as a great way to unwind. Meditation relaxes and encourages you to focus on positive energy, which will help you get back to your studies better.
This meditation app has tons of great courses designed to help every aspect of human life. Do you find it difficult to sleep or to concentrate?
Relax, download this app, choose a course, breathe and enjoy the benefits.
