Anybody that has ever seen the Avengers will know precisely who Thanos is. But, for those who have not, he is one of the most intimidating looking characters, but in fact, he often comes out with lines that would really make you think and can often be seen as wise beyond his appearance.
Created in 1973 by a writer/artist named Jim Starlin, Thanos made his first appearance in Ironman #55 in February 1973 and has been a staple to the Marvel series ever since. He is a supervillain, meaning he is a bad guy and has often been referred to as one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel universe.
